In this article, the author analyzes two questions about legislatives Mexican elections of 2009: which were novelties features of mobilization in favor of invalid vote? And which were its consequences both invalid vote and institutional Mexican framework? The evidences examined shows invalid vote as collective action was characterized by novelty use of Internet like instrument of organization, dissemination and protest; the promotion of vote was in the unusual way and the spontaneous and decentralized emergency of the mobilization. Likewise, the mobilization caused the rise of invalid vote in many country's States and propitiated a reform to institutional Mexican framework. Finally, the article stressed the studies about invalid vote, should consider mobilization factor as determinant on the rise of invalid ballots, in some cases. Adapted from the source document.

The determinant factors of partisan independence are analyzed using the case of Mexico and the variation between its 32 federal entities. Through an instrumental probit model, it transpires that when controlling for the possible inverse causality between partisan independence and a negative evaluation of government performance, this last variable, provides, by far, the strongest prediction of lack of identification with any political party in detriment of cultural, modernization or political-institutional variables.
